What are Divisions?
Divisions allow you to play with friends and each division can have up to 3 players.
How to create a Division and start a battle
- To create a Division, you have two options:
- Go to the Social tab in the Headquarters
- Press "Y" (Triangle on PlayStation) from any menu screen, outside of battle, and enter the Invite players to division item.
- You can either invite one of your friends or choose the Looking for division window, where you can find players who want to battle together or start looking for a division so that someone invites you.
- If you get invited, you will receive a notification at the bottom of the screen. Follow suit to join.
- Make sure that all of the members have set their status to ready.
- Choose an appropriate ship and confirm the action.
- Voice chat will automatically prioritise division if you're in one, but you can switch to team chat in the game options.
- If you appear offline in your console settings, looking for a division will not make you appear online, however, it will make you visible to others in the game and they’ll be able to invite you.
Good to Know
- Your ship tiers cannot differentiate by more than one.
- The Matchmaking (MM) will match your Division by the highest tier ship present within. Meaning, if two players choose tier V ships and one goes for a tier VI ship, they might encounter tier VII ships in the battle because matching is made against the top tier ship.
- Even though tier I ships are relegated to battling each other, creating a Division with tier I and II ships will result in a tier II matchmaking entity, making it possible to face tier III ships in the enemy team.
